Campaign Slogan: Why It Matters

T²AG, You’re It!

Speaks to the immediacy in preparing our students for life.  If you are a teacher – tag, you’re it.  If you are a parent – tag, you’re it.  If you are an Administrator – tag you’re it.  If elected to the School Board, I will accept my nomination as having been tagged as well.  More importantly, if you are a student – tag, you’re it.  Today is your day to prioritize your future and allow the rest of us to help equip you for what lies ahead.

Teachers + Teamwork

As a School Board Trustee I consider it a priority to make sure we hire the most qualified teachers, equipping them with all necessary resources to do their jobs with confidence. Teamwork speaks to the relationship between our Teachers and the parents. I commit to being honest and transparent, and ensure parents are well informed, heard, and an integral part of their students education.

Academics

Effective education must be strong in academics. Our students today leave MISD and travel in different directions. Some need college readiness, while others need career readiness, still others military readiness. I am committed to MISD's commitment to "every student, every day". Each student has a story to write and I want to make sure their story is academically strong.

Goals

Goals. Without goals progress doesn't exist. Whether encouraging and holding our district accountable with its mission and vision, supporting our teachers with their classroom goals, or uplifting students with their goals I am committed to listening, observing, celebrating and providing feedback to goals across the board in order for our students to advance and one day graduate with the confidence needed for their success.
